Christmas Elves

Could you be a Hestercombe Elf this Christmas?

The Father Christmas experience at Hestercombe is very popular, and we are looking for extra festive help to make sure that the event goes smoothly, and that we have lots of very happy little visitors!

This job is fun, sociable, and incredibly Christmassy, and you'll be helping put smiles on lots of faces.

Previous experience is not required ~ all you need is plenty of energy, a sense of humour and positive attitude.

Responsibilities include:

Santa's Workshop Elf:

• Greeting visitors and checking them in on a list;
• Telling visitors about the crafts on offer;
• Making sure the Workshop is nice and tidy, and replenishing craft items;
• Liaising with the Head Elf via walkie talkie to send visitors up to the Grotto.

Santa's Grotto Elf:

• Greeting visitors and taking them to see Father Christmas in his grotto;
• Managing length of stay in the Grotto;
• Communicating with the Events team if presents are running low, or if Father Christmas needs a cuppa;
• Opening the grotto, including tidying, lighting the fire and turning the fairy lights on, and lighting candles;
• Closing the grotto, including turning everything off and locking up.

Please note, applicants must be aged 16 or over and there is no upper age limit.

Pay & Benefits

£10 per hour or National Living Wage (for those aged 22 and over).

You'll have access to the gardens whenever you'd like in December ~ Hestercombe is a beautiful place to work! You'll also get free tea and coffee, discounts on food and drink, and free parking. An elf uniform is provided!

We have morning shifts (9.15am - 1pm) and afternoon shifts (12.45pm - 4pm) available on:
