A Royal Visitor today
Arriving by helicopter at precisely 12.30, HRH The Duke of Kent, visited Hestercombe to see the restoration of the Gardens for the first time and also the recently restored 17th century Watermill and Woodland Barn complex.
A reception was held in his honour in the Woodland Barn where he unveiled a brass plaque which is to be displayed in the Mill Room to commemorate his visit.
This was followed by a lunch in the Column Room of Hestercombe House.
