Delicious food is served all day in the Stables Restaurant and Coffee Shop with a mouth-watering lunchtime menu available between 12 and 2.30p.m.
The Coffee Shop, with comfortable red leather settees and rustic coffee tables, is a great place to meet friends and enjoy a choice of coffees, teas, homemade snacks and outrageous cakes. There is plenty of outside seating in the bright and airy covered Courtyard.
We take enormous pride in the food we serve, which is homemade in the Hestercombe kitchen, using seasonal and local ingredients wherever possible. Chef, Martin Osedo, changes the full menu every three months and adds daily specials experimenting with new dishes letting his colourful personality shine through!

Children’s Play Area
We have a small, safe Children’s Play area for the under 7s. It is situated by the picnic area near the Ticket Office. Admission is FREE to this facility.
Picnics
Picnics are not permitted in the Gardens but we have an attractive picnic area with tables adjacent to the Ticket Office. Admission is FREE to the picnic area.
The Mill Tea Garden
Seasonal - situated by the Mill Pond in the heart of the gardens
The Mill Tea Garden is open seasonally and is a delightful spot at the bottom of the coombe, by the tranquil Mill Pond. Elegant teas and light refreshments are available. The Mill Tea Garden is openon sunny days during the summer.
